No VAT

Why our fees are different
Our fees are different because they are all fixed in advance.
If you see a solicitor (or other legal professional) you may not know until you receive the final bill how much is going to be charged for Probate work, and possibly for other services.
This is because their fees could be based on an hourly rate (e.g., £180 per hour + VAT) and an estimate of how many hours will be involved. The estimate may or may not be accurate. You may also be charged a percentage of the value of the estate, if probate work is undertaken.
Travelling to meet with you
Please note that all our standard fees are based on meeting with you at our premises in Huddersfield. There may be a travelling charge in some cases if we travel to meet with you.
Any such charge will be agreed with you in advance.

Wills while you wait
Our Will while-you-wait service makes use of modern technology and enables us to prepare a Will and give you face to face advice all in the course of a single meeting with you. It really is a case of a Will while you wait.
This means that you can have a Will drawn up in your own home that is ready to sign very quickly – sometimes within an hour.

We offer a range of Probate services. Our approach is to explain to you from the outset what is involved and to give you the option of doing some (or most) of the work yourself. This puts you in control and means that you do not pay legal fees unnecessarily.
We can usually obtain a Grant of Probate for you for under £400.00 plus the Probate Registry Fee of £150.00 (total: £550.00 or less).
